Chennaiyin FC

Chennaiyin FC (CFC) is a Chennai based football club playing in the Indian Super League.

The club is co-owned by Mrs. Vita Dani, Mr. Abhishek Bachchan & Mr. Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Our Home Ground – the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium with a capacity of 40,000, has been fondly renamed by our fans as the “MARINA ARENA”

The manager of Chennaiyin FC is the charismatic Italian World Cup Winner, Marco Materazzi.
John Arne Riise, a Norwegian International and a Champions League winner is the marquee player.

Other  big name players  include former French international Bernard Mendy & former Italian international Manuele Blasi. Our squad also comprises talented Indian Internationals like Jeje Lalpekhlua, Karanjit Singh, Dhanachandra Singh & Dhanapal Ganesh – the first Tamil Nadu born player of the franchise.

CFC finished on top of the league in the inaugural season of the ISL in 2014 and became the first franchise to reach the semi-finals. We narrowly missed out on a place in the final after losing 4-3 on aggregate in the Semi Finals.

In 2015, CFC set a record of maximum consecutive victories with an inspired performance in the second half of the season that culminated in a memorable Final victory at the Fatorda stadium in Goa.
