Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram U-13s the big winners on day six

Chennai: Day six of the BOOST-Chennaiyin FC football championship saw the knockout qualifiers conclude at the Doveton School Ground, Vepery. Three knockout ties in the U-13s and two knockout ties in the U-15s were played, with two group games in the U-13s also contested. The big hitters of the day were Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram, who beat Ramachandra Matriculation 6-1 courtesy hat-tricks from Sarat and Alankrith.

The other matches played were closely fought encounters, starting with the opening U-13 knockout tie between St. Patrick’s High School and Al Hira Model School, with the former edging it 1-0.

Velammal Matriculation got the better of CSI St. Thomas Matriculation with the same scoreline as the U-13s’ Group B encounter saw Chettinad Vidyashram down Doveton School, Vepery by a 2-0 margin.

The two U-15 knockout qualifiers were also decided by a 2-0 scoreline. Arabind’s brace helped Don Bosco, Perambur beat St. Patrick’s High School while Kerala Vidyalayam lost out to Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kilpauk.
