Chennaiyin FC's U-18 team was launched along with the U-15 and U-13 age-group teams on the club's third birthday on August 28, 2017. They compete in the Hero Elite League (formerly AIFF U-18 National Youth League) and other football tournaments in their age group.
Majority of the CFC U-18 team comprises budding talent from across the state of Tamil Nadu along with youngsters scouted from around the country.
