Chennaiyin FC associate with AGS Entertainment ahead of highly anticipated Bigil release

Chennai, October 18, 2019: Hero Indian Super League outfit Chennaiyin FC today announced a high profile association with leading film producers, distributors and multiplex chain AGS ahead of the much anticipated release of their film Bigil. Directed by Atlee, Bigil is a film based on Tamil Nadu football starring Kollywood superstars Vijay and Nayanthara. CFC is proud to associate with the brand that is bringing this euphoria to the masses, with Bigil set to hit the screens on Friday October 25.

CFC Head Coach John Gregory and local player Dhanpal Ganesh, along with few other members of the squad and coaching staff interacted with AGS Entertainment’s Aishwarya Kalpathi before officially unveiling the association at the CFC team hotel. They exchanged a CFC jersey and the jersey donned in Bigil to symbolize the association.

“We are very happy to be collaborating with a champion team like Chennaiyin FC. Our movie mainly revolves around football and women empowerment and we think that this association will draw long overdue attention to this beautiful sport. We are also certain that this association will help us promote the sport at the grassroots level here in Chennai. We wish CFC the very best and a great run in the Hero ISL this year,” said Aishwarya Kalpathi on the association.

The masses cannot wait for Bigil’s release, especially given the stunning star cast in the film spearheaded by Vijay and Nayanthara. As part of the association, CFC and e-sports company Skyesports are also hosting the Bigil FIFA Championship in Chennai and Kochi that culminates on October 25 with a prize pool of Rs. 50,000. It will be hosted at Arknemesis Gaming at Ispahani Center in Chennai.

Furthermore, actors from Bigil will also be conducting a meet-and-greet with kids from a CFC Soccer School in the city on Tuesday October 22. Lastly, Bigil’s Creative Producer Archana Kalpathi from AGS Entertainment along with certain women footballers will be in attendance for Chennaiyin’s first home game on Sunday October 27 against Mumbai City FC at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
