Chennaiyin FC and Reliance Foundation Launch Blue Cubs Grassroots League in Chennai
Chennai, January 31, 2025: Chennaiyin FC, in collaboration with the Reliance Foundation, inaugurated the Blue Cubs League in Chennai last week. Aimed at nurturing young footballing talent, the tournament features U7, U9, U11, and U13 age categories, providing a platform for aspiring footballers to showcase their skills.
With a strong commitment to grassroots development, Chennaiyin FC believes this initiative will play a crucial role in identifying and honing young talent across the city, contributing to the overall growth of football at the grassroots level.
The U9 category kicked off its campaign on Sunday, January 26, 2025, with eight teams participating in an exciting set of fixtures. The results were as follows:
•CCFA 1 – 0 CFC CPS
•G2A 1 – 0 CFC SPR
•G2A 2 – 1 FG
•RPS 2 – 0 FIFA
•FG 2 – 0 CFC CPS
•CFC SPR 1 – 4 RPS
•CCFA 1 – 0 FIFA
The other age categories will compete in the upcoming weekends.
