Fruitful year for Chennaiyin FC in partnership with Reliance Foundation to bolster grassroots and youth development in Tamil Nadu.

Chennaiyin FC’s continued partnership with the Reliance Foundation as the club’s Official Grassroots and Youth Development Partner has yielded significant strides in strengthening football at the grassroots level in Tamil Nadu.

Over the 2024/2025 calendar year, the collaboration has borne tangible results, with a series of impactful initiatives rolled out across the state. Tournaments such as the CFC X NCFC Interschool Championship, Blue Cubs programs, and other community-driven football festivals have engaged thousands of young players—offering them structured platforms to learn, compete, and grow. These efforts underscore both organizations’ shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of Indian footballers.

The ongoing collaboration marks another vital step in Chennaiyin FC’s long-term vision of building football from the ground up. With the support of the Reliance Foundation, the club has deepened its grassroots footprint, expanding access to quality coaching, modern infrastructure, and holistic football education for aspiring talent across Tamil Nadu.

Chennaiyin FC CEO, Ekansh Gupta, expressed his enthusiasm:
“Our club is deeply rooted in community values, and developing the next generation of footballers has always been central to our vision. Teaming up with the Reliance Foundation allows us to expand our reach and enhance the quality of our grassroots initiatives. Together, we aim to inspire and empower young footballers across Tamil Nadu and beyond.”

As part of this flourishing partnership, Chennaiyin FC and the Reliance Foundation will continue to deliver grassroots festivals, talent identification drives, and long-term development programs throughout the region. These initiatives are designed not only to identify promising players but also to instill a lifelong love for the sport.

Ganesh Prabhu, Head of Football Operations – Youth, Chennaiyin FC, added:
“Grassroots and youth development have always been close to our hearts at Chennaiyin FC. We believe in building a strong foundation for the future of Indian football, and this partnership with the Reliance Foundation strengthens our resolve to do so. With their expertise and commitment, we’re confident of reaching more children and giving them the right tools to develop as players and individuals.”

Together, Chennaiyin FC and the Reliance Foundation look ahead with optimism, united in their mission to shape a brighter future for Indian football—starting with the youngest players in Tamil Nadu.
